Welcome to Trad-Egal Shtiebel, where we believe davening can elevate us, Torah can make our lives more meaningful, and Jewish life belongs to us all.

 

We're a lay-led halakhic egalitarian community with rabbinic support. At Shtiebel, we strive to create a warm atmosphere full of song where individuals of all genders and sexualities connect through meaningful prayer, Torah, and friendship. We currently meet monthly for Shabbat and on some Jewish holidays in the Lincoln Park/Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago.
